Pablo Castaño is a freelance journalist and political analyst with over 10 years of experience, specialising in international politics, climate, and social movements.
He writes for various newspapers and magazines in Spain, the US, the UK and France. His work has been published in The Independent, Jacobin, The Nation, Novara Media, Tribune, Le Monde Diplomatique, El País, Regards, Politis, eldiario.es, El Orden Mundial, Público, Ctxt, Ara, Nació, El Salto, and Catalunya Plural. He has also been a panelist on El Matí d’Estiu on Catalunya Ràdio and has appeared on radio programs such as Carne Cruda and the news brodcasts on Ràdio 4 (Spanish National Radio).
He studied Political Science and Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid and completed a Master’s degree in Sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London. He was a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris and completed his PhD in Political Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, while contributing as a journalist to various media outlets. He worked for Barcelona City Council as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor for Social Rights and as a communications adviser. Pablo Castaño currently combines journalism, his main profession, with a position as an associate lecturer in Comparative Politics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
